This gray metal marker is embedded in the top of the concrete buttress at the southwest approach to the historic Salt River Canyon bridge. The Salt River Canyon bridge was constructed in 1934. It has been supersceded by a new vehicle bridge but remains as a pedestrian bridge. Although somewhat obscured by paint, the marker reads,

The marker is located approximately 79 feet from the southwesten edge of the visitor restrooms on an angle of 284 degrees. It is on the upper curb just at the beginning of the bridge decking.
