A vertical sundial is embedded within the south wall of Skyline at Waterplace, an event venue in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.
The 4-foot square dial plate is about 3.5 feet above the sidewalk, so you can walk right up to it. Bordered by red brick, the concrete face is inlaid with metalwork: hour lines; the Arabic numerals 5, 3, 12, 9, and 7 in bold Helvetica font; an inner border; and a decorative square at each corner. The gnomon is missing from its round base plate.
