Das Legoland Discovery Center ist ein Indoor-Spielplatz in der Neuen Mitte Oberhausen, dessen zentrales Element das Einkaufszentrum Centro ist. Neben Spielbereichen und Fahrattraktionen ist auch eine Ausstellung von Lego-Modellen Teil des Discovery Centers.

In der Ausstellung werden aus Legosteinen nachgebaute bekannte Gebäude und Orte des Ruhrgebiets und des Rheinlands gezeigt. Das - meiner Meinung - beeindruckendste Modell ist das des Kölner Doms: Aus Tausenden Legosteinen ist in dem riesigen Modell jedes Detail der Fassade eingefangen. Da in der Ausstellungshalle durch Beleuchtung ein Tag-Nacht-Wechsel simuliert wird, sind die großen, bunten Fenster des Doms von innen beleuchtet und leuchten bei Nacht genauso schön und farbenfroh wie des Originals.

Die Koordinaten sind vom Eingang zum Discovery Center, da das Lego-Modell in einem Gebäude steht. Das Modell ist nur zugänglich mit einer Eintrittskarte zum Legoland Discovery Center (Stand 2019: 17,95 Euro / Erwachsener).
Legoland Discovery Center is an indoor playground in the New Center of Oberhausen, whose central element is the shopping mall Centro. In addition to play areas and rides, an exhibition of Lego models is also part of the Discovery Center.

In the exhibition, models made from Lego bricks of well-known buildings and places in the Ruhr area and the Rhineland are shown. The - in my opinion - most impressive model is that of the Cologne Cathedral: With thousands of Lego bricks in the huge model every detail of the facade is captured. As lighting in the exhibition hall simulates a day-night change, the cathedral's large, stained windows are illuminated from the inside and glow as beautiful and colorful as the ones of the original cathedral at night.

The coordinates are from the entrance to the Discovery Center because the Lego model is inside of a building. The model is only accessible with a ticket to the Legoland Discovery Center (as of 2019: 17.95 Euro per adult).
