This unique fountain is elevated behind a four foot high stone wall. Water flows across ledges of sand rock on the upper level, and exits on a similar waterfall at the other end. Between the two waterfall fountains are four bronze sculptures depicting the dangerous river crossings in the pioneer days of Oklahoma. The sculpture is entitled Downstream Drifters.
A nearby plaque indicates that the fountain was inspired by the construction of elevated fountains in Europe, which give the viewer a 360-degree view of the fountain and in this case, the sculpture. The sculptures are approximately head high to the viewer and give the viewer the impression of a deep river between the two tiers of fountain. The fountain and sculptures were dedicated on June 17, 2019.
