As has been reported nationally, young girls sometimes have to miss school due to lack of feminine hygiene products. Del City High School is now offering free products to girls who need them.

Article text:

Two teachers at an Oklahoma school are collecting feminine hygiene products to provide to their students free of charge, regardless of their family income.

Danylle Sue Brock, who is a friend of one of the teachers, posted on Facebook, saying the teachers set out on a mission to provide basic needs for the majority of their student body.

Brock said the teachers put together boxes of supplies inside bathrooms at Del City High School, and they are offering the products to all students in need. They also have donated makeup bags that are pre-packed with tampons and pads for students to take home for overnights or for the weekend.

“Everyone deserves to feel confident in class regardless of their period,” the Facebook post stated.
