Puvodne ctyrtunový kámen nechal nálezce umístit v r. 1854 u dolu Katerina-Josefa v Kladne-Krocehlavech (v místech dnešního plynojemu); cást kamene zakomponovaná do sousoší je asi tretinou puvodního nálezu.
EN: The sculpture Ladislav Novák was the author of the bronze sculpture. Two miners stand on a pedestal divided into three parts (the old miner takes the form of the author's father) and shake hands. Among the miners, the author included the famous "Vána's Stone" with a black-coal vein, which the miner Jan Vána cut out on 1.11.1846 in the land register of today's Kladno u Dríne. It was the first finding of a more powerful coal seam in Kladno. Originally a four-ton stone was found by the finder in 1854 at the mine Katerina-Josefa in Kladno-Krocehlavy (in places of today's gas tank); the part of the stone incorporated into the sculptural group is about one third of the original finding.
