One of two such sculptures gracing the National Harbor downtown area - the other being named George.
Constructed of stainless steel by artist Albert Paley of Rochester NY, the eagle soars about 60 feet above the main thoroughfare.
The eagles feature 14-foot wingspans and each weigh about 4,500 pounds.
The pieces are named after a pair of nesting bald eagles, appropriately named George and Martha, who lived along the National Harbor waterfront area for many years.
