A rather new bridge named after the present queen Maxima of the Netherlands. There is a 2 coloured display at the south side of the bridge, which displays the energy production and consumtion of the Maxima bridge. The display is visible for all traffic crossing the bridge from the south.

"The Queen Máxima Bridge is a bridge over the river Rhine town of Alphen aan den Rijn on the border with Koudekerk a / d Rijn.
The bridge serves to open up the Hoge Waard industrial estate, which means that the cores of Alphen aan den Rijn and Koudekerk aan den Rijn have less nuisance from (freight) traffic. For the time being, the road crosses the bridge over the Van de Landlustweg with a loop back to the Gnephoek and then back to the Hoge Waard. In the future, the Máxima bridge could connect to the Ring Alphen aan den Rijn and the N207, but this is objected to by the damage to the Green Heart National Landscape.
The bridge was opened for traffic on Wednesday 21 December 2016. The official opening followed in 2017."

"Energy use and consumption during construction and use
The Queen Máxima Bridge is sustainable through smart use of materials and sustainable in energy use. All energy used by the bridge is generated by the first (!) Floating solar panel field in the Netherlands. These cleverly placed solar panels in the ditches in the loop of the road make the bridge energy neutral.
A low wall in the bend prevents light from the headlights of the cars in the area. Meadow birds are not bothered by it. Orientation lighting also prevents light nuisance, at the same time increases road safety and uses less energy."
