The concrete statue of "Zubr (i.e.an European bison)" can be found near the city ice-stadium, at the beginning of "fairy tale alley". The statue was created by Michal Olšiak, born in 1978 in Ždár nad Sázavou, author of many concrete sculptures of various animals, creatures, fairy tale figures which are spreaded on many places at town and villages of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The statue was commisioned by municipality of the town Bystrice nad Perstejnem. Why a bison? Just head of bison is distinct part of coat-of-the-arms of the town. The statue was inaugurated in September 2015.
