July 20, 1878 the first stone of the observatory of the Pic du Midi is officially posed.
But its location remains a mystery.
It hides a treasure never kept by the mountain: a box of lead contains two coins minted in 1878, the crystal cylinder containing a parchment with the names of the contributors of the project and a number of the newspaper the nineteenth century mentioning the major donors .

Elle cache un trésor a jamais gardé par la montagne : une boite de plomb renfermenat deux pièces de monnaies frappées en 1878, le cylindre en cristal contenant un parchemin avec les noms des contributeurs du projet et un numéro du journal le XIXeme siecle mentionnant les grands donateurs.
