With something like 30 murals arrayed about the downtown area, Williams Lake has come to be known as the
Mural Capital of the Cariboo. Of that entire group of murals, this one is the hands down winner of the
Strangest Mural award. On the front of the
Bike & Board Shed building is the eye catching mural which is difficult not to stop and examine more closely. It's not easy to describe, so I won't try. While the provenance of other murals in Williams Lake is known, the artist responsible for this mural, and its date of birth, are both unknown.
While it brands itself as a Bike & Board shop, Red Shreds is actually a 12 months of the year sports outfitter whose specialty happens to be bikes. The shop also carries snowboards, climbing gear, skates, skis, kayaks, inflatables, canoes, clothing and accessories.
