Yellowhead Lake boat launch and picnic area has easy access from the Yellowhead Hwy./Hwy. 16 and is 3.5 km east of the Lucerne campground. If traveling west it is about 7.5 km from the British Columbia and Alberta border.

Yellowhead Lake boat launch and picnic area is a very nice area with a large parking area, picnic tables and restrooms. The boat launch is to the left as you enter down a short road that leads to the water's edge. The boat launch is concrete and will accommodate motorized boats, canoes and kayaks.

Yellowhead Lake offers an abundance of fishing opportunities for rainbow trout, Rocky Mountain whitefish and lake trout. The best fishing is in the spring before high water. Launch your boat in the warmer months, or come back in the winter for some ice fishing for ling cod.
