The Jasper Fire Department provides protection for the town of Jasper that is located in Jasper National Park. Relocating to this location in 2003, is has a long history beginning over a 100 years ago. It first began as the Jasper Volunteer Fire Brigade in 1910.
There are approximately 30 dedicated fire personal serving at this location. They provide search and rescue services, as well as education on fire protection, fire suppression and pre-school to grade 12 fire education.
The Jasper Fire Department responses to emergency for the town of Jasper, Jasper National Park, as well as the areas along Highway 16 west to Mount Robson, British Columbia, which is about 90 km west of Jasper.
