The grave of Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. is located in a well maintained, rectangular family plot surrounded by a low fence. The grave is marked by a granite headstone which as two incised images: a sprig of ivy on the top and an eagle in flight in the middle.

The headstone is inscribed:

Description:

Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. born in New York City on November 30, 1918. He was the son of famed concert violinist Efrem Zimbalist, Sr. and opera soprano Alma Gluck. He is the father of actress Stephanie Zimbalist.

He studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre before he was drafted into the US Army in 1941. He serves in Europe as a 2nd lieutenant during World War II. After the war he made his Broadway debut in Broadway acting debut in The Rugged Path.

Throughout his life he starred on the stage, on film, and in television. He is most famous for his role as Private Detective Stuart Bailey in 163 episodes of the television series 77 Sunset Strip (1958 -1964). He also starred in 241 episodes of the television series F.B.I. (1965 -1974) as Inspector Lewis Erskine.

His acting credits include: thirteen theater roles, 24 film roles and 88 television programs and series. In 1959, he was awarded the Golden Globe Award for: Most Promising Newcomer – Male.
