This little community book exchange is at the address of 419 E. Magnolia Ave; but, is physically located between the Alpha House parking lot near the corner of E. Magnolia Ave. and Carleton Ct. and the entrance by the large oak tree into the Alpha House main entrance doors. It is easy to see from E. Magnolia and from the parking lot as you face the entrance. The Little Free Library is larger than most library units and is painted a happy yellow color with bright blue trim. The door on the library box faces toward the sidewalk along side the building and is between the big oak tree and E. Magnolia Street. This unit is #86 of 300 little libraries sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 300 for the celebration of the 300th year anniversary of the founding of the City of San Antonio, TX.
The Little Free Library philosophy is "Take One, Leave One." If you can, it is always best to take a spare book you have finished with you to leave behind for someone else to enjoy. If you see a book that appeals to you, take it. If nothing strikes your fancy, help out by donating a book for others to read.
The Alpha House specializes in helping women overcome and recover from a variety of additions. This facility is a private rehab that specializes in the treatment of alcoholism, opioid addiction, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and other issues effecting women by using a variety of therapy methods.
