This bridge is a 5-section truss bridge built by the Chicago and North Western Railway (now part of the Union Pacific Railroad) in the early part of the 20th century. At one time it was a double track bridge, but now only a single track remains. This track originates in Nelson, IL, the junction with the former C&NW's east-west main line, goes south from there, goes near Peoria, and eventually giving trains access to St. Louis.

The coordinates are for the location where a road goes under the bridge, and one can pull off the road there. Also, nearby is a McDonald's from which the bridge can be viewed.

Bridge Type: Truss
