Kanab is one of the earliest towns settled by the church's colonization efforts. This modern chapel is located next to a Family History Center that is located in a former chapel. It faces U.S. Highway 89 which is the major artery headed north to Salt Lake City. The original chapel included a spire with a clock and that has been matched in the new building. Town clocks are very uncommon on LDS buildings.
This building houses the Kanab 3rd, 5th and 4th wards. They meet Sundays at 9:00, 10:30 and 12:00 respectively.
