The small town of Comrie lies on the banks of the River Earn on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands in Perthshire. The B827 road runs southwards from the town centre across the river at Dalginross Bridge, and it is on the gable end of the first building on the left after crossing the bridge that this faded sign can be found. In white lettering on the grey background it reads 'Wm. WALLACE BAKER & CONFECTIONER'.
The business would have been housed here on Bridge Street, but is long gone, now occupied by a private dwelling. The sign is best viewed from the adjacent garden area which houses the town's war memorial. This lies between the river and the building.
