[DE] Freiherr von Eichendorff war ein bedeutender Lyriker und Schriftsteller der deutschen Romantik, der 1788 im oberschlesischen Ratibor, der Partnerstadt Roths, geboren wurde. Er zählt mit etwa fünftausend Vertonungen zu den meist vertonten deutschsprachigen Lyrikern.
Die Büste wurde 2016 durch die städtischen Mitarbeiter gereinigt, poliert und hydrophobiert.
[EN] Freiherr von Eichendorff was an important poet and writer of German Romanticism, who was born in 1788 in Ratibor, the twin town of Roth, in Upper Silesia. He counts with about five thousand settings to the most accented German-speaking poets.
The bust was cleaned, polished and hydrophobed in 2016 by the municipal staff.
