Valemount is the last major town, if heading to Mount Robson Provincial Park, and continuing to Jasper. Valemount is a beautiful area and not far from the visitor centre is George Hicks Regional Park where in August you can witness the spectacular event of the Chinook salmon spawning in Swift Creek.

The visitor centre offers local and regional information and up coming events, local campgrounds and places to eat. There are also wildlife displays and information about the Chinook salmon.

Just as you enter the Valemount Municipal office building there is on your right an alcove with a small pedestal table with the guest book. When you pass this small alcove the visitor center is through the next doorway on your right.
