Cette glycine d'1,65 mètres de circonférence et d'une hauteur de 2,50 mètres fut plantée en 1865 par la SNCF.
Placée en pouponnière durant 2 années en 2009 dans une palmeraie de Fréjus elle revint en 2011 dans son nouveau parc aux Arcs sur Argens.

[Fr]En 1865 La glycine fut plantée par la SNCF aux Arcs près de la façade d’un bâtiment construit aux Bréguières aux abords de la voie ferrée.
La glycine est devenue « privée » : en effet le bâtiment appartenant à la SNCF a été vendu et a été occupé par des particuliers.Les derniers propriétaires de ce bâtiment ont été monsieur et madame Grégoire qui l’ont habité pendant 49 ans et qui y ont créé et exploité un élevage de poules pondeuses.
Quand les Bréguières ont été transformées en ZAC les bâtiments existant sur la zone ont été abattus pour être remplacés par des locaux commerciaux. La glycine qui s’adossait à une construction vouée à la destruction était en péril.
Grâce à la volonté du maire, Alain Parlanti, au bon vouloir des propriétaires de la ZAC (la société Barjane) et à l’opiniâtreté de l’association Nature Patrimoine et Paysages des Arcs le précieux végétal - il vaudrait entre 7000€ et 9000€ - a pu être sauvé.
Elle a été arrachée et placée en 2009 , en attente de transplantation aux Arcs, dans une pépinière de Fréjus qui se consacre aux gros végétaux « La Palmeraie ».
Cette glycine a déjà été signalée au service de la DIREN qui s’occupe du classement des arbres remarquables
De retour aux Arcs dans son nouveau parc en 2011 ,elle fait la joie des habitants.

In 1865 The glycine was planted by the SNCF at Les Arcs near the facade of a building built in Bréguières near the railway.
The wisteria became "private": indeed the building belonging to the SNCF was sold and was occupied by private individuals. The last owners of this building were Mr. and Mrs. Grégoire who lived there for 49 years and who there have created and operated a laying hen farm.
When the Bréguières were transformed into ZAC the existing buildings on the zone were slaughtered to be replaced by commercial premises. Glycine, which was leaning against a construction destined for destruction, was in danger.
Thanks to the will of the mayor, Alain Parlanti, at the good will of the owners of the ZAC (the Barjane company) and the stubbornness of the association Nature Heritage and Landscapes of the Arcs the precious vegetable - it would be worth between 7000 € and 9000 € - could be saved.
It was torn off and placed in 2009, waiting for a transplant at Les Arcs, in a nursery of Fréjus dedicated to large plants "La Palmeraie".
