Barriere is in the Central North Thompson Valley in beautiful British Columbia. Barriere is at the confluence of the Barriere River and North Thompson River making this an ideal recreational location. It has approximately 1800 residents.
Barriere & Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes visitors to the area and offer local and regional information. Maps and brochures are available and the staff offers suggestions on local attractions and events.
Barriere holds an annual Fall Fair and Rodeo each year on the last weekend of August. “Get Your Cowboy On” and “Your Giddy-Up Going” by joining us for the 70th Birthday Party of the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo."
