Translated from the above noted text:

"The artists Suzanne Gravel and Yvon Milliard have created this bronze sculpture in memory of the gods, for the gardens of the Cageux station on the Samuel-De Champlain Parkway.

There are two brave men who maneuver a wooden dock on the St. Lawrence River. In the background, the artist carved a picturesque landscape of Quebec in the early 19th century. There is also a three-masted sailboat heading for a loading dock in Quebec City.

The event is held on a sunny day on July 3, 1808, 200 years after the founding of Quebec by Samuel de Champlain and 200 years before the 400th anniversary. "
