The fresco represents a part of the painting "Belisarius" (beloved, reduced to begging, rescued by an officer of Justinian), the French painter François-André Vincent in 1776.
"I'm inspired by the city, the region or the country where I paint" takes "Ravo". "Here is a tribute to French painting and a great master. I chose this table because I find it beautiful and I think it is important to make it known. France has a great painting tradition. This is a part of our common European history. A fine tribute to the history of art with a reproduction "in the identical, in the best way possible".
If this is a first for the Italian artist in the North, Andrea Ravo Mattoni knows France well and works with the Louvre museum. "I had the pleasure of exhibiting a painting in the Tuileries Garden before giving two classes and some lectures", the artist continues. "I'm explaining how we can make art history in a contemporary way with a bomb. Ravo Mattoni also produced several paintings on display at Amboise Castle on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci.
Today, he is very happy to be able to express his talent in Boulogne-sur-Mer. "It's an honor for me to participate in this festival, which is one of the best in France. When you see the poster every year and the big names of street art who have been here, it is very rewarding to be able to contribute to the course. "

J’ai choisi ce tableau car je le trouve magnifique et je pense qu’il est important de le faire connaître. La France possède une grande tradition de peinture. C’est un pan de notre histoire commune européenne. » Un bel hommage à l’histoire de l’art avec une reproduction « à l’identique, de la meilleure manière possible ».
Si c’est une première pour l’artiste italien dans le Nord, Andrea Ravo Mattoni connaît bien la France et travaille notamment avec le musée du Louvre. « J’ai eu le bonheur d’exposer une toile dans le jardin des Tuileries avant de donner deux cours et quelques conférences » reprend l’artiste. « J’explique comment on peut faire de l’histoire de l’art de manière contemporaine avec une bombe. » Ravo Mattoni a également réalisé plusieurs toiles exposées au château d’Amboise à l’occasion de l’anniversaire de la mort de Léonard de Vinci.
Aujourd’hui, il est très heureux de pouvoir exprimer son talent à Boulogne-sur-Mer. « C’est un honneur pour moi de participer à ce festival qui fait partie des meilleurs de France. Quand on voit l’affiche chaque année et les grands noms du street art qui sont passés ici, c’est très gratifiant de pouvoir contribuer au parcours. »
