Moorhead is the County Seat of Clay County and has the County Courthouse. This is the fourth County Courthouse and is built in the same place as the third, which was torn down to make way for this fourth and much larger building.
In addition to housing the county courts the building also houses County Administration, Economic & Community Development Services and other Resident Services.
