Long Description:

Fort St. John is the largest city in Northeastern B.C. and situated along the world-famous Alaska Highway Mile 49. It currently has approximately 21,000 residents. Fort St. John is the oldest non-native settlement in British Columbia, as well as being one of the oldest native settlements.

We came to this location to visit the welcome sign only to realize that the sign was removed and renovations to the area were underway. They are in the process of replacing the welcome signs with more contemporary signage. It did not deter us, as the flags were still there.

On display are 14 Flags that include the Canadian Flag and the 10 Provincial Flags and the 3 Territories Flags of Canada.
