Chetwynd Seed Library"A seed library is exactly what it sounds like – a library of seeds. Seed library members borrow seeds at no charge, and are then expected to save seeds from the plants they grow and to return some of those seeds to the library at the end of the growing season. By returning seeds from successful plants, members ensure the sustainability of the library, as well as help in cultivating seeds that are especially suited to our community’s growing conditions." The library offers a large selection of fiction and non-fiction, young adult and children books, local history, newspapers and magazines, e-books, auto books and movies.
Chetwynd is known as the Chainsaw Capital of the World, as they hold the International Chainsaw Carving Championship annually for the last 15 years. There are over 225 chainsaw carvings displayed throughout the town.
