The only member of the Goggan Family to die in 1884 was Annie Marke Googan.

John was the son of Thomas Goggan & Bridget Eagan. He went into business with his two brothers, Thomas and Michael, establishing the music company Thomas Goggan & Bros. He married Sophia Marke 3 Sep 1872 in Galveston and to this union two daughters were born; Daisy and Mary Louise. He second married Aileen Patterson 5 Nov 1884 and to this union one daughter was born, Eveline Catherine. John drowned in Galveston Bay while on a fishing trip.

Was the husband of Annie Marke Goggan, although he has a headstone in Calvary Cemetery it is quite a distance from this mausoleum.
