The clean sand is soft and the waves are calm here. Watch the Block Island Ferry, sport fishing boats, and the commercial fleet of fish and lobster vessels with their long history, sail in and out of Point Judith Harbor and through the channel west of Salty Brine State Beach all day long from this vantage in Narragansett, Rhode Island.
The new 2,800 square-foot beach pavilion features a concession stand, restrooms with coin-operated hot showers, and a lifeguard tower. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:00AM to 6:00PM daily in season.
The adjacent, 96-space parking lot tends to fill up quickly during the Summer. Other pay-to-park lots are nearby, though you may have to walk a half mile to reach the beach. The village of Galilee also offers restaurants and a few shops along the point.
