Remains of a dedicated tree to Hilton George Povey in the north porch of St Michael the Archangel's church, Halam.

Sadly the tree has been felled for some reason (safety, desease, etc) but the plaque and dedication have been preserved. The plaque on the 'tree' reads -
In Affectionate Remembrance of
HILTON GEORGE POVEY
Died 24th Oct 1947
this Tree wad planted by the members of
the Nottinghamshire District Association
Cyclists Touring Club
7th March 1948


A memorial shield for the CTC’s Nottinghamshire District Association was created in his name.
