Abe Andrews - Andrews Park, Norman, OK - Outside Wooden Display Carvings on Waymarking.com

This chainsaw carving of J. A. "Abe" Andrews is found in the park named for him in Norman, Oklahoma. As a young man Andrews was hired in 1926 to maintain and supervise its parks. He served as the City of Norman Park Superintendent for 30 years. The park itself was part of the official Norman town plat in 1890 and has been in existence for well over a century; it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
