EN: This wooden cross stands at the highest point of the Sternenfels ruin, which is located on a ridge north of Büren.
It is a simple wooden cross without any inscription or decoration. The cross is about ten meters high and visible from afar. It is supported by a metal frame witha concrete foundation and is equipped with a lightning rod. The year 2000 was written by hand in the still wet concrete of the foundation.
DE: Dieses Holzkreuz sthet an der höchsten Stelle der Ruine Sternenfels, die sich auf einem Felsgrat nördlich von Büren befindet.
Es ist ein einfaches Holzkreuz ohne jede Beschriftung oder Dekoration. Das Kreuz ist rund zehn Meter hoch und von weit sichtbar. Es wird von einer einbetonierten Metallfassung getragen und ist mit einem Blitzableiter versehen. Das Jahr 2000 wurde von Hand in den noch feuchten Beton des Fundaments geschrieben.
