Pouce Coupe is in the South Peace Country Region of beautiful British Columbia. It has approximately 790 residents in this small rural community. Pronounced: Pouce Coupee that translate to "thumb cut", named after a Beaver Indian called “Pooscapee.”
This is a very interesting community that has one of the best museums we have visited. It is in the old train depot and next to the post office. As you proceed up the hill to enter Pounce Coupe there are several large sculptures made from scrap metal.
The Pounce Coupe Post Office has vertical wood siding with a false store front and shingled gable roof. They offer postal box rentals, stamps, mailers and other postal supplies and merchandise.
