Memorial plaque to Col. Hugh D'Arcy Pegge Burnell of the 7th Hussars, in St John of Jerusalem's church, Winkburn.

"Burnell first joined the 16th Lancers in 1854 but transferred to the 7th Hussars in October 1870 as a major. On 23rd July 1879 he became commanding officer of the 7th with the rank of Lieut-Colonel. He became a brevet colonel in 1878 but died on 18th Dec 1883 while still in command."
