I was outside considering taking a photo of the laminated sign for the "Australian Guitar Making School", when a nice lady (Ron's mother) asked if I would like to see inside. I wasn't quite sure, but accepted her hospitality, and totally surprised by what I found inside the re-worked old service station for Stokers Siding.

The craftsman is Ron Berry, who had had a severe motor vehicle accident and was still assisted in his mobility with a wheelchair. The garage, or ex-service station has been turned into a great workshop and timber drying and storage area. Ron was keen to explain the methods used to shape and form the sides, front and back, and the science behind it all! Amazing.

As the small sign out front the states:

"Learn how to make your very own high performance modern or traditional classical, flamenco or steel-string acoustic guitar right here. Your choice of design and materials plus $90 weekly 4 hour classes: Thurs/Fri evening classes 6 to 10pm and day classes Fri/Sat 10-2pm and Sat 3-7pm. Who would have guessed that such an unassuming front to the building hides such talent.
