" A proposed Starbucks location in Panorama City is making some residents jittery.

The Seattle-based company wants to build a coffee shop at Woodman Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, but at a Panorama City Neighborhood Council meeting Wednesday night, several people expressed misgivings about a key feature of the design: it would be a drive-thru Starbucks with limited indoor seating.

“We think it’s the wrong concept for our neighborhood,” said Tony Wilkinson, chair of the Panorama City Neighborhood Council Land Use Committee, after he examined a layout of the building proposal provided by developer Benbaroukh, LLC. “The community asked for a sit-down Starbucks and we even asked for outside tables. There aren’t any here… It’s not going to make a community space like Starbucks is famous for being — a gathering place.”" (visit link)
