The ferry is a passenger ferry that provides two modes of service.
In the morning and evening on weekdays it only runs every 20 minutes between this terminal and Liverpool and with a journey time of only 10 minutes acts as a commuter service.
On weekends, bank holidays and the middle of weekdays it runs hourly as a tourist attraction and calls at all three terminals. You can break the journey at any of the terminals and resume the journey later.
There is a clock face on all four sides of the tower. They all have a white background with no numerals. The 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions are all marked with a blck elongated 'O' whilst the intermediate positions are simply marked with a black line. Four diamond shapes in the middle connect at the centre and the outside of the circle.
The height of the tower means that the clock acts as a major landmark in the are including when approaching the terminal on the ferry.
