West Kootenay Community Animal Centre has recently moved into their new facilities in Castlegar.

Fortunately most of the animals were already adopted when we visited them today. New kittens are expected to be ready for adoption in about a month. There is a new arrival of a 4 month old Siamese cat that was still adjusting to her new home at the animal centre. The facilities were very clean and the animals all looked healthy.

On a personal note, we adopted Girlie from the shelter when they were in Trail. She was one of 40 kittens that were recused from a local hoarder.
