Marguerete Caperton was the daughter of Admiral William F. Banks, USN, and Mrs. Georgie Banks. She was born 30 May 1887 in Brooklyn, NY.

She apparently was a life-long spinster. However, her lifespan did bring her from horse and carriage through the jet age. During that time, the US engaged in 5 major conflicts. Major advances were made in medicine, science and technology.

Ms Caperton died in 1994, at ripe old age of 107.

She is interred in her family plot in Arlington National Cemetery, in Section 2 Site 887.
