C1 M114 155 MM Howitzer
Howitzers like this provided artillery support for Canadian forces during the Cold War.
Entering service in the mid-50's, these American-designed howitzers were built under licence in Canada for Canadian and other North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries. Manufactured in 1956, this particular gun served from 1958 until 1966, and fired more than 1600 rounds during that time. This type of gun was removed from Canadian service when the army adopted M109 self-propelled howitzer in late 1968.
