Fountain figure with the title "Raufende Knaben" (Roughing boys) by Heinrich Apel at the Wenigemarkt in Erfurt.
The bronze figure crowns a sandstone fountain and was created by the Magdeburg sculptor Heinrich Apel in 1975/76.
The figure shows two naked boys playfully brawling, with one shoe and the mouth of the lying boy acting as a waterspout.
Heinrich Apel (* 5 May 1935 in Schwaneberg (Sülzetal) (in the district of Börde), Saxony-Anhalt) is an artist, sculptor and restorer living in Magdeburg.
