The Maple Park Alliance Church in Quesnel is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance: an evangelical group that is comprised of the Alliance churches throughout Canada.
The church is a long one story building mostly with vertical siding and some stone building blocks. There is an interesting turret like steeple with glass blocks in the shape of a cross on all four sides.
Quesnel is in the Cariboo region of British Columbia and is at the confluence of the Fraser and Quesnel Rivers. The Gold Rush started with the discovery of gold on the Fraser River in 1857 and had reached the Quesnel River by 1859. Quesnel is home to the World's Largest Gold Pan.
