While I had some holidays I took a back road to the Blue Mountains, and eventually to Lithgow, for the finding of a bunch of Waymarks. While I have explored this region decades ago as a bushwalker I was keeping an eye out for the unusual, and spotted a pair of possibly concrete, but white-painted lions miles from anywhere.
Each lion is almost hard against its respective black-painted metal post and wire fence at the indented entrance to this rural property. There was plenty of room to pull in for a photo.
