On the corner of Fore Street and Commercial Street, there is a premises which was a bank.

It is difficult to establish which bank occupied this site, but there is still the evidence of the night safe.
It is also perhaps ironic that the premises was constructed as a bank, a place where money could be deposited,that one could invest and borrow money, along with other transactions. Banks, making money off of deposited money, who might give the investor a part of the interest earned.
And that today, the premises is occupied by a slot machine gambling hub. Where punters deposit cash and hope for a return on their deposits, a win..
I guess the only difference within the two occupancy's, is that within the bank one could at least borrow money (at cost).
