The map is at the right-hand end of a long stainless steel interpretative sign on the fence near the stairs from the overpass. The map shows what looks like an 'asterisk', of interconnecting paths across the Amphitheatre, that lead to the 'alleyways' that have a multitude of plaques for all the Australian railway-related employees who have died on the job.
At the bottom-left of the map is a 'Key to the Sculptures' of railway-related occupations: 1/ Fettler (on the other side of the railway line), 2/ Shunter, 3/ Flag Lady, 4/ Gatekeeper, 5/ Stationmaster/ Signalman, and 6/ Fireman/Driver. The map shows the Western, and Northern train lines, and the railway buildings.
