The Visitor Guest Book is located on the left hand side of the Volunteer Attendants counter. The Welcome Center is open from 9am until 5pm seven days a week. The Rest Area is open 24-7.
Attendants can answer questions about the area as well as directing visitors to maps, pamphlets and brochures they might find interesting. When I stopped in to gather information and a few photos I was explaining Waymarking to the attendant, who then asked if I knew there is a geocache at the rest area, her granddaughter is a cacher.
While here be sure to visit the three Minnesota Historical Markers on site. One is north of the building, the other two are to the west.
