The Aeolian Columns is a musical art sculpture created by Lee Kelly consisting of three columns that are about 15-16 feet tall and made of stainless steel decorated with bands of porcelain enamel to add color. They are located at ground level in front of the Portland Veterans Hospital in a landscaped median between two buildings. Inside the columns are pipes that were tuned by Michael Stirling to create sound. The approximate cost was $40000.
