The original street grid of Phoenix named the north/south streets after presidents. One of the earliest housing developments is the Roosevelt district dating to the late 1880s. This community church bears a plaque that dates it to 1925 so it would have been inserted into an established community. The entrance to the church faces the intersection and consists of three tall arches over recessed doors. In keeping with their beliefs, there are no religious symbols displayed on the building.
