EN: This old stone cross stands on the Schaffhauser Strasse in the east of the Bad Säckingen district of Obersäckingen in front of a parking lot.
It is simple stone cross without figure or inscriptions. However, there are some holes that look like an earlier mounting of a Jesus figure.
The exceptionally large pedestal bears a very weathered ornate symbol, the meaning of which, however, I could not find out.
DE: Dieses alte Steinkreuz steht an der Schaffhauser Strasse im Osten ds Bad Säckinger Ortsteils Obersäckingen vor einem Parkplatz.
Es ist einfaches Steinkreuz ohne Figur oder Beschriftung. Allerdings gibt es einige Löcher, die wie eine frühere Befestigung einer Jesus-Figur aussehen.
Der aussergewöhnlich grosse Sockel trägt ein sehr verwittertes verschnörkeltes Symbol, dessen Bedeutung ich allerdings nicht herausfinden konnte.
