The Old Town Market Square (Altstädtischer Markt in German) is the square in front of Brandenburg's Old Town Hall.

In 2015 the city hosted the Federal Horticulture Show. In preparation of the event, many downtown areas received a severe overhaul and beautification. Part of these restorations was the installation of a fountain on the Old Town Market Square.

You may notice a small dog statue at the side of the fountain. That is a Forest Pug, a mythical creature that only lives in Brandenburg.
